A hot tub in Ireland costs from around €450 for an inflatable, €3,200 for a wood-fired tub and €4,500 for an electric acrylic hot tub, rising to €14,000 or more for large premium spas. Delivery, base preparation and electrical work are usually extra. Here’s what affects the price and how to budget properly.

Hot tub prices by type

Type Typical price (2026) What you get
Inflatable €450 – €1,200 Plug-in, air bubbles, 2–4 year lifespan
Wood-fired €3,200 – €6,500 No electrics, heats in 2–3 hours on logs
Electric acrylic (2–3 seats) €4,500 – €7,000 Insulated shell, hydrotherapy jets, always hot
Electric acrylic (4–5 seats) €5,500 – €10,000 The most popular family size
Electric acrylic (6+ seats) €7,500 – €14,000+ More jets, loungers and premium features

What pushes the price up?

  • Insulation and build quality. Better insulation costs more up front but saves money every month.
  • Jets and pumps. More jets and stronger pumps mean a higher price.
  • Features. Wi-Fi control, LED lighting, waterfalls, audio and UV or ozone sanitising all add cost.
  • Brand and warranty. Established brands with longer warranties sit at the top of each range.

Installation costs to budget for

  • Base: a concrete slab or reinforced paving if you don’t already have a level, strong surface.
  • Electrics: a dedicated supply with RCD protection, installed and certified by a registered electrician.
  • Delivery: standard delivery, or a crane lift if there is no side access.
  • Extras: steps, cover lifter, chemicals starter kit and a gazebo or shelter.

Running costs

A well-insulated electric hot tub typically costs around €35–€75 a month to run in Ireland, more in winter. Read our hot tub running costs guide for the full breakdown.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest way to get a hot tub in Ireland?

An inflatable hot tub, from around €450. It plugs into a standard outdoor socket but has a shorter lifespan and higher winter running costs than an insulated hard-shell tub.

Is a hot tub worth the money?

If you will use it several times a week, a quality insulated tub that lasts 10–20 years works out good value per soak. Occasional users may be better off with an inflatable or hire.

Do hot tub prices include installation?

Usually not. Delivery is sometimes included, but the base and electrical connection are normally quoted separately.
