What a hot tub installation involves
- Site survey. We check access, ground conditions and where the electrical supply will come from.
- Base. A level concrete slab, paving or reinforced deck that can take the full weight of a filled tub and bathers.
- Electrics. A dedicated supply with RCD protection and an isolator, fitted and certified by a registered electrician.
- Delivery and positioning. The tub is moved on a trolley or, where access is tight, lifted by crane.
- Commissioning. Filling, balancing the water and a walkthrough of controls, filters and chemicals.
Hot tub servicing and repairs
Regular servicing keeps your tub efficient and extends its life. A typical service includes a drain and deep clean, filter clean or replacement, jet and pump checks, heater and electrical safety checks, cover inspection and a water re-balance. We can also take requests for repairs, cover replacements and relocations.
Preparing your garden
- Measure the tub footprint and add around 60cm all round for the cover lifter and access.
- Check the delivery route: gates, steps, side passages and overhead obstacles.
- Think about privacy, shelter from prevailing wind and the view from the tub.
- Keep the tub close enough to the house for winter use, but away from overhanging trees.

How much does hot tub installation cost in Ireland?
It depends on the base, the length of the electrical run and access. A simple install onto an existing level slab costs far less than one needing groundwork, a long cable run or a crane. We quote each job individually.
What size base does a hot tub need?
The base should be at least as large as the tub footprint, level and strong enough for the filled weight. A reinforced concrete slab around 100–150mm thick is common.
Can a hot tub go on decking?
Only on decking designed for the load. A filled 5-seat tub can weigh over 2 tonnes, so the deck needs proper joists and supports.
How often should a hot tub be serviced?
Once a year is a sensible minimum, with filters rinsed weekly and deep-cleaned monthly.
